MY FAVE TIPS
♥ ALTHOUGH this is the BEST recipe I have EVER experienced…I have definitely practiced. The saying NOTHING COMES EASY is SO TRUE. But don’t be scared 🙂 …All I mean is that if your first batch isn’t PERFECTION your second batch may very well be! 🙂 I will, however, share EVERYTHING I know with you guys! :0
♥ Make sure your marg has creamed nicely. No lumps or bumps or weird floaty things should be seen 🙂 It always helps to remove the marg from the fridge half hour before you want to use it so that it is room temp. But often I forget…and so here is one of the weirder things I do (which is actually quite awesome) I put my marg ON or NEXT to my hot water kettle thingy (if you have one on all the time you will know what I mean:) )
♥ Always scrape down the side of the mixing bowl before or during that last “Flour Phase” to ensure your dough is all even.
♥ The cookie dough is pretty sticky and soft when you are finished mixing…so you can do two things. 1. Put it in a saran wrap ball and stick it in the fridge OR 2.Add flour while you are rolling out your dough. Personally I love the “ADD FLOUR” option BUT (and this is what i mean when i said you NEEDED practice) if you add TOO MUCH…weird things can happen 🙂 SO my advice is add flour SLOWLY and with caution 🙂
♥ I always like to use silver foil to roll my cookies on- and I ALWAYS remove excess dough from the cookie shapes rather then try and move the cookie to a prettier cleaner placement for baking. (this is kinda of a biggie- its how i get my cookies so EVEN because I never ACTUALLY touch them after they are punched out. I only remove what is around them.)
♥ FINALLY my last piece of cookie advice IS: EVERY OVEN is different. I say bake ten min but that is a TOTAL average. This isnt “word of GOD” lol. Its a suggestion. So get to know your ovens people…and keep an eye on those cookies especially towards the end.
